Always There and Never Forgotten

Written by aswarts. Posted in News

They are always there. They never ask for a thank you, and they sacrifice more than any other person in many cases. They are our service men and women-the ones who fought and died so that we have the freedom that we have today. Some see things that we could only visit in a nightmare, yet they dedicate their lives and give their life for people that they will never meet. They do this because they all share a common goal: love for our country. So next time you are out shopping, having a family outing, or just watching television; remember those who gave their lives or lost a friend fighting for our country.

Thank you Veterans for your service.

CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD

We here at Davis County Today have noticed all county so we have decided to create a “Citizen of the Year” award.  This person should be a symbol, an example of what it means to live in Davis County. He/She should be someone who helps the community not wanting to be noticed but to simply make Davis County a better place to live. To nominate someone that you think stands above the rest. Email us at ads@daviscountytoday.com, or come in to MPA with a letter of recommendation for that person, Nominations can be anonymous. Nominations will be accepted until November 23, 2012. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call, email, or come in. Phone 888 – MPA – 0070
